I threw these coffee mugs on the wheel out of stoneware clay, pulled the handles, fired them in the kiln, glazed around a fern leaf from my yard, and fired them again to 2232F. The glaze is food safe, and even un glazed portions are non porous. I sanded the bottoms so they are smooth.
