Orofino Vineyards - Pinot Noir 2021John and Virginia Weber both grew up in Southern Saskatchewan. Virginia worked as a nurse and John taught high school. Life settled and things were good until they visited the Similkameen Valley in 2001. The desire to try something new, their love of wine, and the beauty of the Similkameen convinced them to purchase a vineyard and move from Saskatchewan to Cawston. They quickly fell in love with the area and its burgeoning wine industry. Orofino

they have revitalized and extended the vineyards to produce an additional selection of dry red and white wines focusing on native grape varieties

at a time when many of its residents left the countryside in search of a better future

and is certified for organic production of both grapes and olive oil

and red wines: from mono varietals and blend wines that are “easy to drink” to more complex and grand wines

Harvest takes place by hand: bunches of grapes are picked and transported in special crates to the nearest press

in in combination with the daily temperature range in the vineyards
