Doubleback - Chardonnay 2021 (750ml) AstiChardonnay is an extreme rarity in the valley, with this example coming from Kenny Hill Vineyard in the Mill Creek area. Aged in 35% new French oak and 15% concrete tulips, aromas of freshly peeled tangerine, citrus, ripe peach and honeysuckle lead to medium bodied fruit flavors, with vibrant tangerine and stone fruit notes on the finish. Much more reminiscent in some respects to a Viognier, it's a unique example of this variety and region that shows

where licorice and apple wood accents also peek in
