Antqiue Central Asian Ersari Engsi old navajo ringsAn interesting Ersari tent door cover, woven by members of the Ersari Turkmen tribe from parts of Turkmenistan and Northern Afghanistan, 1910 1930. Woven from soft wool gathered from local sheep herds on a goat hair foundation, this type of rug is known as an Engsi and covered the doors of traditional yurt tents. the rug is hardly enough to have provided protection but supple enough to be moved to pass by.
