Plein Air No.3 Amy HoedemakersOil on canvas 21 02 2026 425mm x 325mm framed Summer Green Series Plein Air "During last summer I did a number of "Plein Air" (outdoor) paintings in a bush area on the banks of the Hangatahua Stony River. At the particular spot I chose to paint, the intense Summer sun shone brightly through the fresh green leaves of young native trees. The black thin branches of the kawakawa created criss cross patterns over the green, leafy background. This appealed
