The backplate is oval shaped with a decorative scalloped border and a raised embossed motif at the center. Three curved arms extend outward and upward from a central hub, each holding a bell shaped white opal glass shade. The arms are solid brass not hollow tube or pipe giving the fixture structural integrity that die cast alternatives can't match. Each arm is fabricated
